CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

3 - 5 BTG (Ballet, Tap & Gymnastics)
Our 3-5 year old class is an introductory start for beginning dancers. The fundamental basics of ballet, tap and floor gymnastics are the focus of this program. Appropriate terminology and vocabulary are introduced.  Connecting the curriculum through movement and music challenges and stimulates our younger beginners. Imagination and creative movement are used to enhance the delivery of this exciting beginning to our coursework.  To register for this class, you want to look for 3-5 BTG on the Class Schedule list.

5 - 6 BTJG (Ballet, Tap, Jazz & Gymnastics)
Our 5-6 year old class continues to build upon the foundation for beginning dancers.  The fundamental basics of ballet, tap and floor gymnastics are the focus of this program while we also introduce the style of jazz into the dancer's curriculum.  While still fun and exciting, this level highlights structured combinations of dance steps and an emphasis on technique.  Appropriate vocabulary are taught and reinforced.  To register for this class, you want to look for 5-6 BTJG on the Class Schedule list.

7 - 8 BTJG  (Ballet, Tap, Jazz & Gymnastics) 

Our 7-8 year old class continue to provide the groundwork for our program.  Still a combination class of ballet, tap, jazz and floor gymnastics, this class motivates dancers and helps them not only increase technical skill, but gain style and confidence!  The dance vocabulary intensifies at this level and is reinforced weekly.  To register for this class, you want to look for 7-8 BTJG on the Class Schedule list.

9 - 10 BTJG and 12 years and up BTJG  (Ballet, Tap, Jazz & Gymnastics )
Our 9 - 10 and 11 & up classes are a natural progression of advancement for the young and experienced dancer that combines ballet, tap, jazz and floor gymnastics.  This level of instruction will continue to reinforce and advance the student in technique while also creating an atmosphere of fun and excitement. Vocabulary intensifies at this level and is reinforced weekly.  To register for this class, you want to look for 9 - 10 BTJG or 11 & up BTJG on the Class Schedule list.

6 - 8         BTJG Pre-Competition

9-10         BTJG Pre-Competition

11 & Up  BTJG Pre-Competition
This class is the next step in advancement as the student is introduced to a environment similar to our competition classes.  Stronger technique and flexibility are increased through a concentration of center floor work.  Combinations of dance steps are more intricate improving mental and physical agility, grace and style.  The Pre- Competition level offers high energy classes that build self-confidence in the dancer as skills and vocabulary increase.  To register for this class, teacher recommendation is required and you want to look for 6-8 Pre-competition BTJG and 8.5 years and up BTJG Pre-Competition on the Class Schedule list.

Pre-Competition/Competition Program
This challenging program is for the experienced dancer that is interested in joining our competitive performance program. There is focus on technique, advanced combinations, stretches and performance skills. The Pre- Comp/Comp program is an excellent opportunity for the dancer who welcomes the challenge of that next level of dance. Two regional competitions are incorporated into this dancer's schedule. Teacher recommendation, at home practice, a strong work ethic and the audition process are requirements for this program.

Dress Requirements:  B.B Dance leotard, black tights, black tap shoes, black jazz shoes, and black ballet shoes required for weekly instruction in class. Additional costume requirements will be assigned once the audition process is completed and the competition season is underway.

Competition Program 

The B.B. Dance Productions Competition Program attributes much of its success to high expectations, dedication and commitment. The prestigious competition program has won overall High Scores and Choreography Awards at both the Regional and National level for the past 19 years as well as providing entertainment for community events. The studio is filled with trophies and plaques from such organizations as Showstoppers, Showbiz, Nexstar, Starquest and Encore dance competitions. Through the rigorous and fulfilling Competition Program, dancers progress to the most advanced stages of technique and performance while at the same time achieving self confidence and leadership skills. Weekly instruction not only includes practice in each of the routines but technique classes in ballet, tap, jazz, and acro-gymnastics, as well. Dress Requirements: Solid colored leotard, pink tights, pink split sole ballet shoes, jazz, tap and lyrical footwear are required for weekly instruction in class. Additional costume requirements will be assigned once the audition process is completed and the competition season is underway.
