JANEL JOYNER

Miss Janel, a proud alumna of B.B. Dance Productions for 15 years, was an integral part of dance groups that won National Championships, and she achieved powerful victories as an overall First Place Winner in the Solo and Duo/Trio divisions. At just 13, she traveled to New York to perform on "It’s Showtime at the Apollo" and entertained on the Walt Disney World stage during her competitive years.

Miss Janel graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she danced on the university's team for four years and served as captain during her senior year. She also joined the teaching staff for the NDA. Her professional experience includes participating in the Independent Study program at the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater in New York City. Upon returning to Charlotte, Janel performed with the Charlotte Bobcats dance team and coached the UNCC Gold Dusters. Currently, she is the head coach for the JCSU Golden Bullettes, owner of Creative Culture, and an educator in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. B.B. Dance Productions is thrilled to have Miss Janel on the staff, as she brings the same commanding presence and energy to her teaching as she does to the stage.
