Janel Joyner

Another B.B. Dance Productions alumnus of 15 years, Miss Janel was a valuable part of dance groups that won National Championships as well as being a powerful overall First Place Winner in Solo and Duo/Trio Division.  She traveled to New York to perform on It’s Showtime at the Apollo when she was only 13 and also entertained on the Walt Disney World stage during her competitive years.

Miss Janel graduated from the University of N.C. at Chapel Hill where she performed on the dance team for 4 years and served as captain her senior year.  She also was on the teaching staff for NDA.  Additional professional experience for Miss Janel was the Independent Study program at the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater in New York City.  Upon return to Charlotte, Janel performed for the Charlotte Bobcats dance team and has coached the UNCC Golddusters for the past two seasons.  B.B. Dance Productions is excited to have Miss Janel on the staff as she brings the same commanding presence and energy to her teaching as she does to the stage.
