Ms. Veronica holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Dance Education and boasts over 35 years of teaching experience. She spent six years as the choreographer for the NBA Charlotte Hornets Honey Bee dance team and was the former choreographer and coach for the UNC Charlotte 49ers Gold Dusters, leading the team to win two national championship titles in NDA Division 1. Additionally, she has served as a guest choreographer for the UNC-Chapel Hill Dance Team for several seasons. Ms. Veronica earned her degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she also obtained her K-12 teaching certification. Recently, she has ventured into the pageant world as the Executive Director of the Miss Metrolina and Miss Queen City Pageants.
A significant source of fulfillment for Ms. Veronica is instilling a love of dance in her young students. Many have carried her passion into college, pursuing degrees in dance or leading their school teams. Numerous former students have also launched professional careers in choreography, teaching, and performance. She is proud to have trained dancers who have appeared on "Showtime at the Apollo," performed at Walt Disney World, and received scholarships to the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater and L.A. Edge Performing Arts Center. Her students have participated in theatrical films, danced with various NBA teams, and achieved acclaim in Las Vegas shows, even taking the international stage in Japan.
Under Ms. Veronica's leadership, B.B. Dance Productions Competition Teams have earned regional and national championship titles at competitions such as Showbiz, Starquest, Encore, and Nexstar. Her choreography has received accolades across all divisions, from Petites and Juniors to Teens and Seniors, and spans various dance styles, including lyrical, jazz, hip hop, and tap.
A testament to her commitment to family and community, B.B. Dance Productions also supports service organizations and offers a scholarship program. The Irene Bradley Scholarship Fund has provided financial assistance to numerous dancers, ensuring they have access to dance opportunities. The studio collaborates with the PAL Organization and local daycares to offer quality dance instruction that meets community needs. The Competitive Team has been featured in numerous community performances, including Charlotte Bobcats games, For Sisters Only events, JCSU basketball games, and Charlotte Hornets games.
Those who know Ms. Veronica often hear her express that “dance is her passion.” Her extensive accomplishments and her dedication to teaching at the studio each week are clear reflections of this commitment. She is devoted to serving the youth in our community through the transformative power of dance.
